Arethion is a community, a technology platform offering products and services, and a content producer and distributor. These products and services are offered by Arethion, LLC. By engaging with Arethion, you agree to our Terms of Service, which are applicable to all visitors and users of the platform and may be modified or supplemented at any time. It is essential to read and understand these terms, along with our Privacy Policy governing data practices.

The Services We Provide

Arethion provides products and services that enable users to express themselves, connect with others, and build communities. Our platform:

Provides a personalized experience. The connections you make, groups you join, forums you participate in, the settings you select, etc. will influence your Arethion experience and make it unique to you.
Connects you with other people and groups. Using Arethion, you can meet and converse with other users, forge new friendships, join local gatherings, and more.
Provides a means to express yourself. From written posts to photos and videos, you have the opportunity to share your personal life experiences with the Arethion community.
Prioritizes wellbeing, growth, and safety. Arethion is a community for everyone, dedicated to the betterment of everyone. We take user conduct on the platform seriously, and all users must abide by Arethion’s Platform Guidelines below.

Arethion’s platform, products, and services may change from time to time, and we may limit or terminate availability of the services or particular features to you or other users at any time.

Your Commitments to Arethion

By using the Arethion service, you make the following commitments:

You are at least 18 years of age or older.
The name on your Arethion account is the same name that you use in everyday life.
The information about yourself is accurate and true.
You have only one Arethion account.
You will not share your password, grant access to your Arethion account, or transfer your account to anyone else.
You are not a convicted sex offender.
You are not associated with a previously suspended or disabled Arethion account.
You will fulfill your obligations in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
The content you produce or share is your original work and does not violate any copyright or intellectual property laws or regulations.
Your content will conform to Arethion’s Platform Guidelines.

Platform Guidelines

Arethion strives to offer a platform that promotes wellbeing and fosters community. We need your help to achieve that. As a result, users must conform to these terms of service, and users may not:

Post content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent.
Post content that promotes illegal activities, such as offering sexual services, trading firearms, or offering alcohol, tobacco, non-medical drugs, contraband, or counterfeit goods.
Post content that supports or endorses terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups.
Post content that includes hate speech, credible threats, or targeting private individuals for degradation.
Post content intended to bully or harass an individual, including calls for self-harm or suicide.
Post content that promotes violence, assault, sexual harassment, theft, vandalism, or financial harm.
Post content that celebrates harm or illness that has befallen an individual, including public figures.
Post content that’s degrading based on someone’s race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases.
Post content that reveals someone’s private or confidential information.
Impersonate another person, share deep-fake content, or provide inaccurate information about the user’s identity or someone else.
Post nudity or sexual content of any kind, including derogatory or sexually explicit drawings.
Post content that glorifies self-harm.
Post media (photos, videos, etc.) that has been deliberately altered in order to mislead others or circulate fake information.
Post newsworthy events that include graphic or violent images, unless a warning is provided first.
Spam other users or advertise products or services for sale.
Misuse Arethion’s features for reporting inappropriate content or accounts, such as by making fraudulent or groundless reports.
Post content that endorses online gambling or real money games of skill.
Post content related to the sale of live animals, endangered animals, or human remains.
Create accounts in order to access the platform or collect information in an unauthorized way.
Sell, license, purchase, or steal any data from Arethion.
Upload viruses or malicious code, use the services to send spam, or do anything else to interfere with the integrity and proper operation of the Arethion platform, products, and services.

Users are encouraged to resolve any disputes that arise on the platform directly. All users have the ability to block an account or report the account for violation of these terms.

Arethion reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement in the event there’s a risk of harm or a threat to public safety.

While Arethion is not legally obligated to do so, we monitor the platform for compliance and investigate reported violations. Arethion reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts, cancel subscriptions, or remove content at our discretion at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your account for other reasons, such as in cases of risk of legal exposure. Users cannot claim damages for the suspension or termination of their content or account. These terms remain in effect even after account deletion. No refunds are allowed, and Arethion will not prorate fees upon early termination.

Ownership and License of Your Content

While you retain ownership rights to your content, by using the service you grant Arethion a worldwide license to use, modify, distribute, store, perform, and/or display your content. Arethion takes no responsibility for and does not expressly or implicitly endorse, support, or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of any content on its platform. Arethion reserves the right to delete or remove content at any time, without obligation, for reasons such as violating our terms, the privacy policy, or for creating a legal liability.

Termination

You have a right to terminate this agreement at any time by deactivating your account and discontinuing use of the services. You may also request an export of your personal data by emailing Support@Arethion.com.

Arethion Creations

Arethion’s creations, protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and intellectual property laws, include elements like the site text, logo, and codebase. Without written permission, you may not use, reproduce, distribute, perform, publicly display, or create derivative works of our creations. Warranty Disclaimer

Arethion is provided “as is” without any warranty, and your use of the service occurs at your own risk. Arethion works hard to provide a safe and positive user experience, per our Platform Guidelines, but by agreeing to these terms, users acknowledge they may be exposed to offensive or harmful content posted by other users. Arethion cannot control or direct what people and others do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or conduct (whether online or offline) or any content they share (including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, unlawful, and other objectionable content). To the extent permitted by law, Arethion disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. This disclaimer extends to any applicable or extent parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and third-party service providers.

Limits on Liability

Arethion cannot predict when issues might arise with our platform, products, or services. Accordingly, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and under no circumstance will we be liable to you for any lost profits, revenues, information, or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive, or incidental damages arising out of or related to these terms (however caused and on any theory of liability, including negligence), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months.

Force Majeure

Arethion is not liable for delays or failures beyond our control, such as acts of god, regulatory changes, war, natural disasters, or hacking incidents.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved in federal or state courts in Pennsylvania. By agreeing to these terms, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania law governs these terms.

Miscellaneous

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us, superseding all prior agreements. You may not transfer or assign any of your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else without our consent.
If any portion of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the unenforceable portion will be deemed amended to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and if it can’t be made enforceable, then it will be severed and the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect.
If we fail to enforce any of these terms, it will not be considered a waiver of the right to future enforcement.
Any amendment to or waiver of these Terms must be made in writing and signed by us.
We may update these terms at our discretion, and your continued use implies acceptance.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
